Papas arrugadas

Papas arrugadas

Another food most typical of the Canary Islands is the wrinkly potatoes (papas arrugadas). Should they be eaten with skin or without skin? You decide but in La Palma we eat them with the skin on.

The potatoes are cooked with their skins on and in water with plenty of salt. So simple and easy. What then is their secret and why are they so exquisite? Because the potatoes grown on the island are, simply, outstanding.

This is a dish that will always have a place on your menu in La Palma.
