Stand up and ... get down - Visit La Palma

Stop and … get out

Stop and … get out

Travelling the island by car you will find something very curious, especially in the north: you will feel an irresistible desire to stop the car, get out and enjoy what you see, hear and smell. Perhaps even to go for a short walk to soak in more of the essence of the area. Its quiet, slow rhythm is catching and you will forget the rush and stress of daily life for a few days. Do not miss the opportunity to drive along the following roads: LP 102 (A Martín Luís, Puntallana); LP 109 (Las Mimbreras-Roque Faro); LP 1141 (Santo Domingo de Garafía - Puerto de Garafía Viewpoint ); LP 111 (Briestas - Puntagorda); LP 211 and LP 212 (towards El Paso by Tacande and Las Manchas); LP 217 (to La Salemera, Villa de Mazo) You will find the landscapes irresistible. Please bear in mind that due to the island's steep terrain, the roads can be perhaps a little narrow and twisty, but that is part of their charm. And to make sure you do not get lost, you can see the road network of Isla Bonita here.
