The Wine House-Museum of Las Manchas stands on the site of an old rural school teachers’ house located in an agricultural landscape of considerable beauty, at Lower Las Manchas, in the municipality of Los Llanos. Inside you can taste a variety of wines from the Denomination of Origin Wines of La Palma, buy quality craft products or learn about the different attractions of the municipality and other themed visitor centres on the island. A walk through the different panels will show you the history of this rich island heritage, the annual work cycle of the vine and the different varieties of grapes.
The Wine House-Museum of Las Manchas also has a small garden where you can see examples of the most important varieties of grapevines of the area and a traditional wine store with an old wooden wine press of tea (heartwood from the Canary pine tree) and utensils related to vines.
