The historic moment that placed La Palma at the center of all eyes on September 19, has come to an end. The volcanic eruption officially ceased on December 25 and is now entering a phase of degassing and cooling lava flows.
The island has the youngest territory in Spain and a new aspect in a portion of its territory, which reminds us of the volcanic origin of the Canary Islands.
In these last 3 months nature, our greatest treasure and icon, has shown all its strength and power
A period in which we have received, in different ways, all your support, affection, solidarity and help. And we will be eternally grateful for it.
The volcano could not destroy the beauty of La Palma and the thousand reasons that make it "La Isla Bonita".
Now begins the reconstruction of that 10% of the island area affected by this natural phenomenon. For this reason, it is not yet possible to access certain areas affected by the volcano.
The inhabitants of the island (the palmeros) are working hard to get back to normal life as soon as possible. Meanwhile, we kindly request you to follow safety instructions and enjoy everything else this island has to offer because, remember ... for a thousand reasons ... Bonita
Likewise, the following points will offer you a panoramic view not only of the volcano but of the lava flows, as well Tuyaux d'incendie, Monument à Fatima, Plaza Iglesia de Tajuya, Museo Arqueológico Benahoarita, Mirador del Castillo de la Virgen, Puerto de Tazacorte,
From the bottom of our hearts… thank you so much for being there. We look forward to welcoming you on LA PALMA, LA ISLA BONITA
