Volcanoes - Visit La Palma

The island is full of volcanoes, but if there is an area that stands out for its craters that would be the Natural Park of Cumbre Vieja. The best way to enjoy this natural spectacle is to hike the famous Route of the Volcanoes, which runs through much of the Cumbre Vieja and down to the lighthouse of Fuencaliente, passing close by the Teneguía volcano which is the most recent eruption on Spanish soil. If you want to know more about volcanology, the Visitor Centre of the San Antonio Volcano is very close. There you can learn its secrets and walk along the crater rim.
